Today I've just finished making some big changes. One was the hosting of my domains (with all the reconfiguring and associated grief), and the other was the migration of all my content from Joomla 1.0.x to 1.5.x.
The easiest thing was to transfer my files, it took a bit longer to reconfigure the web apps I am using, and to correct some minos migration problems. Doing somthing like this is not difficult, it needs patience and time, and with the long Holy Week holiday here in Peru, I finally gave the last touches to the process.
Of course, I expect to find some problems still, but I'll be tackling them as the appear. All that remains is to get the DNS to resolve to the new hosting and I'll be all set for now.
Hoy acabo de terminar de hacer algunos cambios significativos. El primero has sido el cambio de lugar para mis dominios (con las reconfiguraciones necesarias y otros problemas), y el otro ha sido la migración de todo mi contenido de Joomla 1.0.x a 1.5.x.
Lo más fácil fue transferir mis archivos, me tomó mas tiempo el reconfigurar los aplicativos web que uso, y el corregir algunos problemas menores de la migración. Hacer esto no es difícil, hay que tener paciencia y tiempo, y con el feriado largo de Semana Santa en Perú, finalmente terminé los últimos toques a todo el proceso.
Por supuesto que espero encontrar algunos problemas remanentes, pero los solucionaré a medida de aparezcan. Todo lo que falta es que los DNS resuelvan a my nuevo sitio y estaré listo por ahora.
